Programming

Programming plays a big part in quality early learning and care programs. Through planned,
developmentally-appropriate play experiences, the children are exposed to early
literacy and early numeracy. They explore how things work around them, in the
nature and in the community. This is done through dramatic plays in block and
house corners, open –ended art activities, science experiences ,  and group discussion times

The staff observe closely children’s interests that are then further expanded into hands-on activities
or experiences that promote the child’s developmental skills and readiness for school.

Our program is open to children with disabilities and is designed to fully integrate them into the
program. Staff enhancement support is provided to the eligible children.
The children are grouped into 4 playrooms according to their ages:

Infant Room – children aged 12 months to 19 months

Toddler Room – children aged 19months to 3 years

Preschool room – children aged 3 – 4 years

Kindergarten Room – children aged 4.5 – 6 years

Kindergarten is a special time in your child’s life where learning meets play on a new
developmental level.  Children, who are 5 years by March 1 of the following year, are eligible to participate in the
Kindergarten Program. Our program is approved by Alberta Education and taught by a teacher with Bachelor of Education.
