  4.  A Poem about a Furry monster
Once there was a furry monster feeling rather brave.
Thought he’d go exploring though he’d never left his cave.
His mother always warned him to stay away from light.
Today was the day he’d find out that she was right!

He walked out slowly that happy little fellow.
The sun shone bright in a lovely shade of yellow.
He looked right up into that friendly sun.
What a surprise when yellow he’d become!

Then he found some oranges hanging on a tree.
He ate those tasty fruits, and happy now was he.
Until he noticed with a feeling of dread.
His furry body was orange from his feet to his head.

Tired from the changes, the monster took a break.
He rested in the green leaves by the gentle lake.
As he slept, he felt rather keen.
And when he woke, he was a brilliant green.

    Now the sun was setting and in the sky was low;
The monster’s day was done, and it was time to go.
Just as the sun was changing, the monster turned his head,
The sunset glowed, and the monster turned bright red.
