Navigating Kindergarten and Child Care? Discover the All-in-One Program for the 2026-27 School Year at JPFRC!
Small class sizes, certified Alberta Education curriculum, hot lunches, and seamless full-day care—all in one trusted place.
Finding the perfect balance between early education and full-time work or school schedules can feel like a giant puzzle for families. Traditional half-day Kindergarten programs often leave parents asking: “How will I manage mid-day drop-offs, pick-ups, and finding quality part-time care?”
At Jasper Place Family Resource Centre (JPFRC), we have solved that puzzle for you.
We are thrilled to announce that registration is officially open for our Independent Community Kindergarten Program for the 2026-27 school year! We offer an approved, fully funded Private Early Childhood Services (ECS) Kindergarten program completely built into a premier, full-day child care schedule.
The JPFRC Advantage: What Makes Our Program Unique?
When you choose JPFRC, your child doesn’t just get a classroom—they get a nurturing community. Our program is uniquely designed to provide consistency, academic excellence, and convenience:
Seamless Full-Day Care: No mid-day transitions or travel stress. Our extended child care hours run from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM, while the core Kindergarten program runs from 8:45 AM to 11:45 AM (Monday to Friday).
Consistency of Care: Your child will spend their entire day with the same dedicated educators. This continuous bond fosters deep emotional security, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Taught by Certified Professionals: Our Kindergarten curriculum is delivered by a fully qualified teacher holding a Bachelor of Education degree, ensuring your child meets and exceeds the learning milestones outlined by Alberta Education.
Small Class Sizes: We believe in quality over quantity. Small group sizes mean our teacher and educators can provide individualized attention, tailoring activities to your child’s unique pace and interests.
Healthy Hot Lunch Program (Optional): Fueling young minds is part of our care. We provide an optional nutritious hot lunch program daily, taking the meal-prep pressure off busy mornings.
Our Educational Approach: Inspired by Curiosity
We don’t believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all learning. Following the Alberta Education Kindergarten Program Statement, our curriculum leverages a dynamic project planning approach centered around early literacy and numeracy.
What does that look like in action? We take what your children are naturally curious about and turn it into rich learning experiences. For instance, when children build an elaborate structure with blocks, they aren’t just playing—our educators are actively guiding them to understand geometric shapes, spatial relationships, weight distribution, and collaborative problem-solving. Learning is joyful, hands-on, and deeply engaging.
A True Partnership with Families
We view early education as a collaborative journey between the Centre, the family, and our Edmonton community. To ensure you are an active part of your child’s growth, we integrate:
Clear, welcoming Orientation Meetings.
Inspiring Celebrations of Learning where children proudly showcase their projects.
Direct Parent-Teacher meetings and open daily contact with our team.
